THE LONG VERSION

Description: Ever since the dawn of time, when the first two humans bumped into each other, meetings have existed. Information was shared, decisions were made, and activities agreed upon in order to achieve something important. A meeting is one of the oldest mechanisms humans have used to get things done.

In spite of the current narrative around meetings, describing them using phrases like, black holes of doom, talkfests, and time-suckers, ‘the meeting’ is here to stay. We don’t have a better mechanism to achieve our goals and dreams.

If we can’t replace the meeting, perhaps we can reconstruct a more positive approach and narrative, to entice and excite meeting participants, and recreate the meeting as a powerful tool towards success.

This presentation provides a fresh look at ‘the meeting’, with some practical ways to ensure meetings are run well, and participants get the best from them.

Meetings are not the Enemy!
