WORKSHOP – THE LONGER SUMMARY
It doesn’t matter who you are or what authority / position you have, if you write emails that people don’t read or understand, it’s your responsibility, not theirs. It’s the golden rule of business communication.
Since email was born, along with it’s distant cousins, Twitter (now X), Facebook, Whatsapp, etc, people have changed how they read, or more importantly, how long they read for, before moving on to whatever pressing messages are waiting (and they’re always waiting).
Vital Information isn’t being seen:
It’s become a growing concern that emails aren’t read well and not at all. Vital information isn’t being seen. It’s not necessarily because you’ve been writing badly, it’s more likely that you’ve not adjusted how you write to meet a changed reading practice.
Workshop Breakdown:
Broken into two parts:
- What are the reading changes that have taken place, and why?
- How do you write emails today, so that people will read them?
